Let there be joy. Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,  that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.  Psalm 90:14 NIV

Act deliberately. For this very reason, make every effort  to supplement your faith with virtue. 2 Peter 1:5a ESV for further study: 2 Peter 1:3-11

Forgive forgetfully. “For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,  and I will remember their sins no more.”  Hebrews 8:12 ESV Also: Matthew 18:21-35

Forgive forcefully. He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:19 ESV Also: Matthew 6:14-15

Depend daily. “Give us this day our daily bread.” Matthew 6:11 ESV See: Exodus 16:4

Eat joyfully. Go, eat your bread with joy. Ecclesiastes 9:7 ESV Also: Ecclesiastes 3:12-13, 5:18-20

Work wholeheartedly. Whatever you do, work heartily,  as for the Lord and not for men.  Colossians 3:23 ESV Also: Colossians 3:17, 1 Corinthians 10:31

Honor extravagantly. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Romans 12:10 ESV

Listen carefully. Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.  James 1:19 ESV

Worship humbly. Oh come, let us worship and bow down;  let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!  Psalm 95:6 ESV Also: 1 Peter 5:6

Hope obviously. But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy,  always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.  1 Peter 3:15 ESV

Believe bravely. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” Joshua 1:9 ESV

Give quickly. The wicked borrows but does not pay back,  but the righteous is generous and gives.  Psalm 37:21 ESV

Pray biblically. And this is the confidence that we have toward him,  that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 1 John 5:14 ESV

Speak boldly. [Pray] also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel. Ephesians 6:19 ESV

Love patiently. “…with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.” Ephesians 4:2 ESV Aslo: Colossians 3:12-14

Live purposefully. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.  Romans 8:28 ESV Scripture Focus: Romans 8:28-30, 2 Peter 1:3-11

In times like these, it’s good to remember, God is still on His throne, and He still saves. Fret not yourself because of evildoers.  And count the patience of our Lord as salvation.  Psalm 37:1, 2 Peter 3:15 ESV
