We learn to love the Bible
by continually asking God
to give us a love for it,
and by a stubborn persistence
in reading it.
It takes determination,
because everything in our natural selves
says the Bible is boring,
out of date,
and hard to understand.
Open my eyes that I may see
wonderful things in Your law.
