My sin upon His shoulders.
My thorns upon His brow.
The stripes, meant for my horrors,
are taken from me now.
The nails, my due, His torture.
My guilt–alone–He bore.
In innocence He suffered,
my Savior, God, my Lord.
My pardon He accomplished.
In Christ alone I’m free.
My life belongs to Jesus,
the One who died for me.
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer
I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the
life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the
Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
